Requests At Lincoln Avenue, we believe that there is power in prayer. James 5:16b says, "The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much." If you have a need or concern that you would like someone to pray for, you can enter it below and know that someone will be praying for you. If you have a request of a more personal nature, you can send an e-mail to one of the staff by clicking here.
LABC offers others ways to stay in touch with recent prayer concerns. You can subscribe to the Pastor's prayer notifications group, which is sent via e-mail on a regular basis. For our church members, you can request to be placed on the PhoneTree® prayer chain. This way you will receive a phone call regarding all prayer concerns distributed through the church. To subscribe to the pastor's e-mail group, or to subscribe to the PhoneTree® prayer chain, click here.

This is to up-date everyone of our status from Jimmy's Back surgery Last Sept.2007. Also from that date 3 months later we were involved in an auto accident on Dec.3,2007 that caused both of us some problems. Jimmy's doctor's now in July 2008 have confirmed that the auto accident did cause problems with the surgery he had in Sept. 2007 as well as other problems in his neck. He has several disks sitting on top of each other as well as sliding forward. The surgery for that will be at a later date to give him a rest due to him having to have two other surgeries lately on 6/26/08 & also on 7/02/08 two within a week. This was to help with the pain in his lower back & legs. It is an implant that blocks pain from reaching his brain. It helps but not 100%. It is like a pacemaker. It is supposed to help about 50% most the time when he heals from the surgery of placing it inside him. He also has a cyst on the brain & kidney. These also are in the line up being checked on. I Brenda am doing better and just this week back working waiting on a payroll check in Sept. I have just now at least for a while got to where Jimmy would be ok for a longer period by himself and also myself better. The accident has caused perm. disability for Jimmy. He has not received pay since last Sept.2007 or have not been approved for SS-Disability. Our income from Dec.2007-June 2008 has averaged $300.00 a month. For July & Aug.2008 is $0(Zero). I(Brenda) have been Jimmy's caregiver as well as taking care of everything and trying to heal myself. There was no choice I wouldn't leave him. God brought Jimmy & I together & he would watch over me as well so we had to get God to watch over both of us. I understand as well as Jimmy does of how important it is to depend on God. He has been our Caregiver in this time of trouble. We at times try to answer our prayers but so many times we've gave it all up to God. He is in control of our lives. He has put our problems on the Hearts of others and through them he has worked. You do the math. Yes we are months behind on our house, autos, utilities(some),med.bills unreal, other bills etc. We do a lot of praying, calling and juggling our lives. Through it all we've had food. We bless the food & God provides. One thing We'd like to pass on is if you know of someone in need don't close your eyes & hears off just as God's word says in Matthew 5:42. Any amount of money or just mowing a yard or putting in a lt.bulb or a phone call with words of encouragement and mostly a prayer means alot. We've been depressed and our spirits are low. Not with God but the problem we are weary still. Thank You our Church Family whom we get to see mostly from a DVD & thoughts of you who do call or come or send a card we do thank you all these things are important. Don't wait till your in this shape to remember others. Our prayer is to get on our feet to help others in our shape; starting first with our Church Members. Then I know God will lay it on our hearts to know who to help. We pray for God to guide us each day in everything. A Special Thanks to Alvin & Jean Watts as well as Jerry & Linda Watts ,Jabo's Pharmacy,The Staff of LABC(girls in the office)Bro.Craig & Bro. Kirk. To You All We Love You & Miss You & We Want To Come To Church. Please Continue Your Prayers We Are Not Out Of The Woods--Yet! Thanks & May God Bless You All!
